Yeah, I know I really should put something smart, witty and erudite here. Frankly, I haven't been all that motivated so far. Right now, my immediate goal is to get my Amateur Extra radio license on the first try (I currently hold only a Technician license, callsign KM8FDM) while I look for a decent job in Michigan. It's crazy, but I like it here, even if the economy is in the dumpster for the immediate future. I like the natural beauty of Michigan and the hacker/underground/techno culture that permeates Detroit, if you look hard enough for it.

I'll be speaking at Notacon in April. If you haven't already bought your ticket, you should definitely go to it if you're at all a hacker, geeky or nerdy.
